Believing this can be a good or not-so-good thing. "Meant to be" can comfort you if something happens that is hard to deal with or understand. But it can also take away all your power by relieving you of responsibility. If things do work out, then all your hard work was for nothing because it was bound to happen with or without your intervention.
I am trying to decide if I have more faith in myself than I have in fate.

i love this post! this is classic. i've always been torn apart fate and hardwork.. how are we supposed to know what stuff we should just leave up to fate and which ones we should act on? confusing, but.. i also realized what if we knew beforehand where the universe wants us -- then nothing would drive us. the last part "If things do work out, then all your hard work was for nothing because it was bound to happen with or without your intervention" kind of got me thinking. i don't think the hard work would be put to waste.. because to me, the "journey" before we "get there" is the best part because we're learning, full of hope, looking forward to something, etc..u get me :) but this is just my opinion and may not be true for everyone so.. there.
til next time =*

believe in yourself. it's like the saying we need to love ourselves first before others or so others will love us back or something like that.
Is it like, you slack off cause you think everything is already written?
I guess you should believe in yourself.
i can relate
oh my gawd' ! Ü
I think you should trust in yourself. At least u can control most of the things unlike fate. And if everything doesn't work out at least u know that u did something about it and not just relied on fate. :)
